IRISH IDOL

The IRISH IDOL contest will be held at the Jefferson Avenue Footbridge Plaza area beginning at 12:30 p.m. the day of the Parade. Contestants are encouraged to perform songs with an Irish theme or origin. Contestants must provide their own backup music. A PA system and CD player will be provided. Contestants will be judged on stage presence, originality, musical talent, and how much fun they are having. The contest is for AMATUERS ONLY. There is no entry fee. A $100 prize will be awarded the winner.

Irish Idol ONLINE REGISTRATION

All performances must be done in good taste: no music or lyrics considered to be offensive to the Irish Festival Association may be performed.

Performances will be awarded 0-10 points in each of the following categories:

1) Stage Presence
2) Originality
3) Musical Talent
4) Fun Factor

In the event of a tie, the first tie breaker shall be the highest number of points given in the Talent category. The second tie breaker shall be the highest number of points awarded in the Stage Presence category. The third tie breaker shall be by a secret vote of the judges based on the Fun Factor category. Entry is free.
